MRI
I left work at 5 PM and drove to Atherton for my MRI. It will take a few days to get the results and my follow-up appointment with Dr Oloff is not until Thursday. The whole thing is dragging on for quite a while. I almost feel like I can start running again and I'm tempted to give it a try soon. I guess I'll stick to cross training for a few more days and play it by ear from then on.

Pool run
I had to get on a conference call with our team in India at 9:30PM and ended up working on a presentation until 8:30. I headed over to Club O to get a quick workout and spent some time in the pool. I would hardly call this a workout but it was a much needed break from work. The pool was only 3.5 feet deep so I couldn't do deep water aquajogging like I've done in the past. I was able to run in the pool, which is still a good workout and doesn't put much pressure on my foot. I mixed it up with some swimming to break the monotony of running back and forth in the pool.

Cross training
After staying completely inactive for a week I finally decided to do some cross training. I wanted to get in the pool but I forgot to bring my swim suite so I settled for the stationary bike. I opted for the bike over the elliptical as I thought that would put less pressure on my foot. My legs are definitely not used to biking and were starting to hurt even though I couldn't get my heart rate over 130. I only biked for 20 minutes or so then spent some time stretching and doing some ab work.

Appointment with Dr Oloff
I finally had an appointment with Dr Oloff but I didn't really get a diagnosis. The two most likely possibilities is that I have a cuboid stress fracture or a tendon tear. X-Rays didn't show much so I'm going for an MRI on Friday, which should give clearer results. I'll follow up with Dr. Oloff after I get the results next week and he suggested I don't run at all until then so I might have to take at least another week off. I really doubt that it's a stress fracture as I would probably still be hurting a lot but I'll play it safe and wait a bit longer until I start running again.

I'm starting to feel better and I was thinking of doing some cross training but I wasn't very motivated after work. I went back home somewhat early and went with Panos to Ausiello's for a loaded burger and some beer.

More Optimistic - 0 Miles
My foot's condition may not be improving as fast as I would have liked but at least there is some progress from day to day. I can now walk without limping at all and the pain is a lot less noticeable. I still need more time off but I think I should at least be able to start doing some cross training soon. Hopefully it won't be too long until I can start running again.
